Hibernation?

Where have we been?

Hey, look! A post!

As you may have guessed things have been pretty quiet around these parts. (Well, except for the Auto Road. I hope you've been checking out the blog over there for the updates and videos.) I've also been especially quiet because I've been dealing with a calf injury over the last couple weeks...I've been grouchy. Well, more grouchy than usual. But, just because it's quiet, it doesn't mean that nothing has been happening. In fact, we're very close to the start of another summer season. How's your running and biking been going this spring?

I got out for run this afternoon on the trails. Things are pretty dry, actually. There is a patch of snow at Jubulation Crossing. (Anyone know where that is?) There are also a few blowdowns we need to get to, but overall, things are in good shape. It's amazing how different things look when the snow is gone. Everything is familiar, but very different.

Also, we have ducks! And, no, not in the pond. I saw a pair of mallards in some "casual water" (for you golfers out there) at the north end of the field. Not sure how long they'll stick around, but they seemed very happy. I also saw a ton of moose tracks...maybe more. Sadly, no moose, but they are definitely out there.

I hope all you trail runners out there are getting ready for the Spring Trail Running Series that starts up on Thursday. Eli has been somewhat secretive about the course. I hoping to get it out of him in the next couple days. Also, any of you received our email reminder about the series, I apologize for sending an incorrect date. The first day is Thursday, May 15. Not the 19th as listed in the email. Sorry about that. Hope to see you on Thursday.
