Continuing in the rich history of hillclimbing on Mt Washington

Another fabulous edition of the historic Climb to the Clouds auto hillclimb was contested here over the weekend.  With our racing history dating back to 1904, it's always a treat to see these folks come here and keep the tradition alive.  Saturday was a wonderful, dry sunny day - Sunday, well, not so much.

Above is Bob Valpey's beautiful Studebaker Indy Car.

Ed Valpey in his Allard gets the green flag.

Kim Eastman in his 1953 Kurtis 500.

A great show on the field in between runs.

Bill Rutan, record holder from 1961 until 1990, returned with a different car, a 1953 Jaguar 120 fixed head coupe.

Andy LeBlanc's '37 Dryer Sprint Car.

The weather wasn't nearly as cooperative on Sunday.

John Schieffelin took the consistancy award for the second time driving his '39 MG TD to end a great weekend of racing and racing history!
