Blood, sweat and gears

(More blog entries from marty)

Clouds are rolling in and so did Al Hospers. The only member of the foolish fivesome called Rather Ski Now, the rocket completed the loop in some 65 minutes. "Beware of the exclaimation points," he said. "That means there is a sharp drop afterwards."

But Hospers, who - and I'm not making this up - once played bass with a touring version of Blood, Sweat and Tears - was feeling strong enough to do two laps in a row.  Maybe later.

"Mountain biking for me, is, bang, you're in it. There's no warm up," he said.

Krissy Fraser is on course. I'm next, and Hans Bauer isn't here yet. No problem. I'm looking to break the 90 minute mark.

Guess the easy part of the event is over.

Great Glen Tidbits
Crazy Moose Draw was named when John Frado, the trail designer, had a very close encounter with a very mad moose.
