Great Glen Trails Poised to Open

Pinkham Notch, NH—Skiers from Gorham High School tested out the machine-made snow at Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center on Wednesday afternoon. The Outdoor Center plans to open for skiing on Saturday and host the first Nordic race in New England this season.

Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center began making snow at 4:30pm on Sunday and plans to have a loop for skiing available to the public Saturday morning.

Nordic Sprint Race presented by Atomic is scheduled to start at noon on Saturday, December 9 (Race moved to Sunday. Click here for more information). Open to skiers of all ages and abilities, the first race of the season in New England will also feature the top high school and college teams from throughout the region.

Snowmaking operations will continue throughout the week and updates on progress and opening status will be available at www.greatglentrails.com or 603.466.2333.
