Pinkham Notch, NH—Great Glen Trails will open the 2009/2010 winter season on Thursday, December 10, 2009. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing will be available on 28 kilometers.
With the storm that blew through the region on Wednesday, Great Glen Trails received more than 10 inches of new snow. Great Glen Trails has groomed 12 kilometers for skate skiing. Also now open at Great Glen Trails are 28 kilometers of snowshoeing trails, including the new Glen Amble Snowshoe Loop, designed for beginners. One of the few cross country ski areas with snowmaking capabilities, Great Glen Trails will continue to improve the skiing as temperatures allow by making snow throughout the week.
Great Glen Outfitters is open daily as well with a complete selection of cross country ski equipment, snowshoes and outerwear.
Great Glen Trails will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
