Pinkham Notch, NH—On Saturday, June 26 at 10:00am, Great Glen Trails will host There’s a Black Fly in My Eye 10 Mile Trail Race & Relay. Racers may compete solo or in teams over the all trail, 10-mile course.
Made up of three separate loops on the Great Glen Trails’ trail system, There’s a Black Fly in My Eye challenges runners with a mix of singletrack, carriage roads, steep climbs and descents, rocks, roots and a river crossing. Now in it’s fifth year, the race has become a staple of the trail running events in the Mt. Washington Valley.
Technical t-shirts are available to the first 100 registrants, and the entry fee includes a post-race barbecue. In the relay division, teams may be made up of either two or three competitors.
Registration and more information are available by calling 603.466.2333 or click here.
Volunteers are still needed on race day for timing and course marshals. All volunteers receive a ticket to the post-race barbecue and a trail pass. To register to volunteer, contact Kelly Evans or 603.466.2333.
The trails at Great Glen Trails are open daily for trail running, and other trail races include the Montrail Spring Trail Running Series, which wraps up on July 1. In the fall, Great Glen Trails will host the Salomon Fall Trail Running Series, beginning on September 2.
