Pinkham Notch, NH—In coordination with the New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA), Great Glen Trails will host TD Bank Kids Ski Day on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
TD Bank Kids Ski Day at Great Glen Trails is one of four NENSA events this winter designed to introduce families of all athletic backgrounds and abilities to the sport of cross country skiing. The day will include games and an obstacle course on skis, Trails Tracker scavenger hunt, birdfeeding ornament building, holiday cookie decorating and other activities. Mini-lessons will be offered in both the morning and afternoon for first-time cross country skiers.
Modeled after the successful annual TD Bank Bill Koch Festival, TD Bank Kids Ski Days are smaller versions of the festival but with the same emphasis placed on community, education and fun. Skis will be provided by NENSA’s Ski Lease Program or through Great Glen Trails’ rental fleet.
For those participating in TD Bank Kids Ski Day trail passes are just $5. Additionally, rentals for children are free of charge and rentals for participating adults are just $10. All participants can register at Great Glen Trails the day of the event from 10:00am – 10:30am or from 12:00pm – 12:30pm.
Great Glen Trails hosts additional family-themed events throughout the winter including Family Snow Days, Penguins & Polar Bears: Ski Camps for Kids, Moonlit Snowshoe Tours and other programs. Visit our Family Programs page learn all about Great Glen Trails’ family activities.
